The CHANGE Program was truly life-changing.
Houston, May 2019
The CHANGE Program helped me to feel much better about my body and health.

I felt supported throughout the whole process with consistent communication between me and the three streams of healthcare professionals.
Terrace, November 2020
I feel 10 years younger after the CHANGE Program.
Smithers, March 2020
As a consequence of embracing the CHANGE Program, I began to notice there was an improvement in weight loss and overall health, particularly because of the nutritional educational component and then supported by an improvement in physical activity.
Houston, September 2021
“Other programs that I’ve been associated with, they expect you to do it all at once, and that’s sort of what makes it fall flat on its face. If you got a more gradual approach, it sure worked for me, it was really good.”
Edmonton, November 2014
“It starts out with them just finding out what you’re eating and then you gradually change, but along with that is all the education. So you’re learning but you’re also changing your diet at the same time. So it’s not a difficult thing because anything that you learn is easier when it’s put into practice ‘cause you remember it better.”
Edmonton, October 2014
“The social aspect of the study was prominent. The people That I met on the machines all struggling the same as I as...and the staff were very friendly. I think every person that I worked with really felt the person that they were working with — that they really wanted to help that person.”
Edmonton, October 2014
“The staff was amazing, the encouragement and support was fantastic to me.”
Edmonton, October 2014
“Participants appreciated when their spouse could come in for the meetings and they can learn together.”
Edmonton, October 2014
“This program was my partner. I’ve lived alone for 20 years so I didn’t have that.”
Edmonton, October 2014
“People should be doing stuff like this before you’ve got health problems.”
Edmonton, October 2014
“You’re not made to feel guilty if things don’t go as well as you would like them to. You just dig in your heels and try again.”
Edmonton, October 2014
“I really like the very structured approach to changing your diet and exercising and everything, and yet it’s so flexible. The diet is about what I want to eat, not about what somebody else is shoving down your throat and I really appreciate that.”
Edmonton, October 2014
“Access to the dietitian at all times.”
Edmonton, October 2014
“Commitment to the program.”
Edmonton, October 2014
“Accountability — that someone will check on them.”
Edmonton, October 2014
“The rigid structure of the weekly meetings for three months with dietitian and kinesiologist.”
Edmonton, October 2014
“The first time the kinesiologist said to me, ‘45 minutes on the treadmill’, I thought, ‘My god, you’re gonna be wiping me off the floor with a rag before I get there!’ And I did it. It was just such an incredible feeling to think that you could actually accomplish a goal like that.”
Edmonton, October 2014
“Lost 2 to 3 dress sizes.”
Edmonton, October 2014
“I’m 61 years old. I can run more now than I used to at 40.”
Edmonton, October 2014
“Connection with the staff.”
Edmonton, March 2014
“I found it relaxing. They seemed to work on the comfort aspect to make you feel comfortable…[That] was probably the best part of it.”
Edmonton, February 2015
